Nelson Rudiak’s second cd release “Winnipegosis” is a wide ranging collection of instrumentaljazz/rock/blues compositions from one of upstate New York’s most versatile artists. Rudiak plays all instruments (saxes, guitars, bass, keyboards, synths and rhythmic programming) on the disc except drums. He was also the project’s writer, arranger, producer as well as being the guy who shut off the lights at the end of the day and made lunch. From the raucous, ultra saxy opening of the first track, “BBQ Boogie” to the playful, dueling guitar work on the final tune “Winnipegosis”, Rudiak’s work has been called original, refreshing, rockin’ and meant to be played loud again and again. This seasoned musician has been entertaining audiences and fans throughout the Northeast for over 30 years and “Winnipegosis” is the latest chapter in his musical life. As a live performer, Rudiak has shared the stage and opened for a diverse group of extraordinary artists including Gov’t Mule, David Bromberg, John Hammond, Roomful of Blues, Ramsey Lewis and the Persuasions. Winnipegosis is being heard  on radio stations around the globe and has been given an Editor’s Choice Award by Indiemusic.com and named as Independent Artist Of The Day by Jamin 8 out of Austin, Texas.  Winnipegosis is a small town in northern Manitoba, Canada where Nelson Rudiak’s father grew up.
