“Almost Done” was recorded at my home studio in Rome, NY. I have been playing saxophone since the 4th grade and along the way have taught myself enough guitar and keyboard to compose, arrange and play all the parts on the CD. The entire process took about a year and a half. (For more on that you can read a recent article from Music315.com)

This is my first full scale assault of an original body of work although I have recorded with others in the past. I even helped John Sebastian (“Welcome Back”) unload gear from his car because his session was after my group “The Extreme Band” was recording an album in Woodstock, NY. This was not the extreme band that sold millions of records but we did have the name before them.

My musical history also includes a couple of bands that only a handful of fans might be able and willing to remember including “Tappin’ At The Met”. We started in Boston and wound up in New York City from 1977-1985. At our peak we did an off Broadway show called “Swing’s The Thing” and appeared on the legendary Joe Franklin show. We broke up in debt. During our heyday we opened up for people like Ramsey Louis, David Bromberg, John Hammond, The Persuasions and others. This was a long time ago so nobody knows these people. We even opened up for a young comic named Jay Leno who will never remember me.

Most recently I perform with the No Budget Orchestra around Central New York. Rick E. Lewis from that band was extremely instrumental in assisting me with the finished product of “Almost Done”
